Ingredients

1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, sliced into thin strips

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 teaspoon chili powder

1 teaspoon cumin

1/2 teaspoon paprika

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

Salt and pepper to taste

1 red bell pepper, sliced

1 green bell pepper, sliced

1 medium onion, sliced

1 head of romaine lettuce (or butter lettuce), leaves separated

1 avocado, sliced

Fresh cilantro, chopped (for garnish)

Lime wedges (for serving)

Optional toppings: shredded cheese, sour cream, salsa

Instructions

Prepare the Chicken: In a medium bowl, combine the chicken strips with olive oil, chili powder, cumin, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Toss until the chicken is evenly coated in the spices.

Cook the Chicken: In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add the seasoned chicken strips. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the chicken is cooked through and lightly browned. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.

Sauté the Vegetables: In the same skillet, add the sliced bell peppers and onion. Sauté for about 3-4 minutes, until the vegetables are tender but still crisp.

Combine: Return the cooked chicken to the skillet with the peppers and onions. Mix well and cook for an additional minute to heat everything through. Adjust seasoning if necessary.

Assemble the Wraps: Take a lettuce leaf and spoon some of the chicken and vegetable mixture into the middle. Top with slices of avocado and sprinkle with fresh cilantro.

Serve: Squeeze fresh lime juice over the wraps and add any optional toppings like cheese, sour cream, or salsa. Roll the lettuce wrap up or fold it over and enjoy!
