Ingredients

2 large russet potatoes

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1/2 cup cooked and crumbled bacon

1/4 cup sliced green onions

1/4 cup sour cream

Optional: jalapeño slices for extra spice

Instructions

Begin by washing the russet potatoes thoroughly. Cut them into thin strips, about 1/4 inch thick, to make perfect fries.

In a large bowl, toss the potato strips with olive oil, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper until evenly coated.

Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C). Once it's heated, add the seasoned fries to the basket in a single layer, making sure they are not overcrowded.

Air fry the potatoes for about 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to ensure even cooking. You want them golden and crispy!

When the fries are almost done, sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese and crumbled bacon on top of the fries in the last five minutes of cooking, allowing the cheese to melt.

Once they are beautifully crispy and the cheese has melted, carefully remove the loaded fries from the air fryer.

Serve the fries in a big bowl, topped with fresh green onions, a generous dollop of sour cream, and optional jalapeño slices if you like some heat!
